At Christopher House, we focus on results. Measuring inputs is helpful, but measuring outcomes is critical. We have carefully defined the outcomes that we expect our programs to achieve and have developed metrics to ensure that we achieve them. We track goal achievement  through over 50 outcomes, indicators and benchmarks that are measured on an ongoing basis and analyzed annually. We are also working to strengthen evaluation in the human service sector and improve services for low-income families through our collaborative evaluation project.

Our infants, toddlers and young children are healthy, happy and growing.

• 94% of five year-olds graduating from our Early Childhood Development Services are ready for kindergarten.
• 100% of children in our early childhood program are receiving regular well-child check-ups.

Our children are supported by caring adults and are developing a love of learning.

• Last year, 91% of children in our School Age program achieved at least one of their goals for academic and personal development by the end of the school year.
• Last year, 77% of children and youth achieved or maintained a 3.0 ("B") average.

Our youth are ready for college.

• Last year, 91% of high school seniors graduating from our Youth Leadership program enrolled at four-year colleges.
• 92% of parents report that their children in the program know how to study better.
• 95% of parents report that their children in the program complete their homework more often.

Our parents and caregivers are promoting their children's healthy development and striving to meet their own developmental goals.

• In the last year, 100% of our teen moms have not had a subsequent birth.
• Last year, 71% of our teen moms were in an educational program, graduated high school or passed their GED exam.
• 91% of parents are making progress toward their educational, literacy, budget and employment goals.
• Last year, 87% of parents met two out of the three goals they created for enhancing their child's healthy development.
• Last year, 93% of ESL and ABE students attained point gains on English as a Second Language and Basic Education tests.

Our families are learning and growing together.

• Last year, over 1,400 children and adults received food from our pantry.
• 91% of parents participating in parent workshops or support groups say that they have increased their knowledge of parenting and child development.
