An evening to ignite dreams and create opportunities

To everyone who supported Christopher House's 24th Annual Benefit,

THANK YOU.

The night was an incredible success, and will allow us to ignite the dreams of

4,000 children and parents in the coming year!

We were truly humbled by your generosity. Without it, Christopher House would not be able to continue making a significant, meaningful impact on the lives of Chicago's working, low-income families.

You are, as Mayor Emanuel said, "Supporting Chicago's future. It's children."

Overall, the evening raised nearly $675,000! The most ever raised at a Christopher House event. Your generosity will go a long way to help us educate more low-income families through innovative, data-driven schools.

Thank you again for making our 24th Annual Benefit a night to remember. We are grateful to have your support as we embark on another critical year of expansion and innovation. We invite you all to visit our sites to see your investment in action, and we hope to see you again next year!

 Emanuel Speech

Christopher House encourages all children to dream big! Our unique family of schools gives low-income children the tools they need to achieve their dreams – a high quality education, a nurturing home, and opportunities that level the playing field for success.

Our 24th Annual Benefit was on May 15th, 2014.

A celebration of Christopher House’s incredible accomplishments, including the opening of our Belmont Cragin Family Resource Center and Elementary School.

At this year’s benefit:

  • We were proud to have Mayor Emanuel in attendance to speak about his support of Chirstopher House.
  • We honored the incredible work of long-time board member and supporter, JoAnne Cicchelli.
  • We honored the wonderul work of our honree family of the year, the Ruiz family.

See photos from the benefit here.

Our co-chairs for the event were Tony Chimino, Bill Singer, and Dee Dee Chesley.

The evening began with a cocktail reception followed by a seated dinner. Many had the chance to bid on exciting live and silent auctions, and the crowd enjoyed a performance from the Christopher House Elementary School choir. Auction items included a one-of-a-kind golf experience at the Congressional Golf Club, a Chicago Cubs "owner’s experience," and exclusive access to some of the city’s biggest attractions. More than 450 of Chicago’s philanthropic and business leaders raised funds to provide life-changing education and support for Chicago’s families in need.
